Georgios Dounias, President of Greek Committe on Large Dams, Jean Jaques Fry, President of the European Club and Enrique Cifres, Vice-president of ICOLD, closed the International Simposium on "Future of dams", held in Crete (Greece).
Dams are called to play a major role for facing Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, and for tackling Climate Change mitigation actions.
Dr Cifres claimed for an integrated management of Water and Energy Resources involving stakeholders in decision making, as a way to assure sustainability.
